The AMS Northern California Chapter holds two meetings annually, publishes a chapter e-newsletter of northern California musicology news, and administers the Ingolf Dahl Award every other year. Our next meeting will be held from April 28-29 jointly with the Pacific-Southwest Chapter at UC Berkeley, Morrison Hall, and will include the Ingolf Dahl Competition (see list of previous winners).

Chapter Dues: A call for annual chapter dues for the calendar year 2012 was issued via email on November 24. Dues payment is voluntary: all AMS members within the chapter boundaries are automatically members of the chapter, so don't forget to pay your AMS national dues!
Quarterly Newsletter: The Chapter Newsletter Committee, co-chaired by Emiliano Ricciardi and ChiaWei Lin, invites brief write-ups of the following musicological news items via email: upcoming or recent conferences (and associated calls for papers) at your institution, programs hosting visiting scholars, noteworthy guest lectures, faculty and student awards and honors, books or articles published, innovative courses developed, and other significant announcements. Items will be published in a quarterly email newsletter at the discretion of the committee. See officer list below for contact information.
