The Capital Chapter of the American Musicological Society is excited to announce our Spring 2025 Meeting, hosted by the Peabody Institute of the Johns Hopkins University in Baltimore, MD, on Saturday, April 5, 2025. The program will include three sessions of papers—one being the annual Lowens Award Competition. Venue, parking, and lunch information with relevant web links can be found below. VENUE: The meeting will be held in Peabody’s Centre Street Performance Studio, located at 5 E Centre St, Baltimore, MD 21201. A full map of the Peabody campus is here (PDF).

PARKING: Some street parking may be available, but the Franklin Street Garage or the Walters Art Museum Lot (LAZ Reservations) are recommended options. (Peabody’s own garage is very busy with Preparatory Department weekend lesson families on a Saturday morning and is best avoided during the time of our meeting.)

LUNCH: There are many walkable options for lunch in the vicinity, including Roggenart Bakery, Indochine Vietnamese, HomeSlyce, San Pablo Street Taco, Marie Louise Bistro, Nepal House, and the Walters Café.
