Ideas for traveling to Quebec City on a budget

Quebec City is a beautiful and wonderful city, well worth visiting for its history, scenery, restaurants, and night life. Don't let your budget stop you from attending the upcoming AMS meeting!

Here are a few thoughts.

Airfare is high (and it's tricky). Consider driving. A car rental can be as low as $25 a day. Compare car rental rates at Orbitz, Expedia, Travelocity, or Kayak.

JetBlue flies from all over the country to Burlington, Vermont, which is about 215 miles from Quebec City. You can save a bundle if you're willing to make that drive.

Carpool and split the expense. See the AMS Carpool page.

Stay with a roommate. See the AMS Roommate page.

Shop for a better hotel deal at Orbitz, Expedia, Travelocity, Kayak, Hotels.com, or your favorite hotel-selection web site.

The Quebec Hostel is near the Convention Centre and costs under $30 a night.
