Committee on Career-Related Issues
This page is intended as a means to share information about careers in musicology and includes links to websites, publications, and other materials.
The Committee on Career-Related Issues is an active group within the American Musicological Society, and it organizes sessions for the annual meeting. We intend to develop this site to make it helpful throughout the year. If you know some useful links please contact the AMS office.
Websites on Career Issues
Career issues are sometimes part of various websites, but it is difficult endorse specific ones. Those who are interested may want to consult search engines like Google for current sites. In addition to using "careers" or "careers in music," keywords like "musicology," "arts administration," and other specific terms may be useful. To make searches more efficient, avoid generic terms, like "music" or "arts," etc.
Select Bibliography
Please note that the bibliography includes some older titles, which may be of interest, if you want to gain an historic perspective on careers in music.
