AMS/LC Lecture Series: Call for Lecture Proposals
The AMS-Library of Congress Lectures provide a public forum for AMS members to present research of exceptional merit based on unique collections in the Music Division of the Library of Congress. All members who have based their research on these holdings* are invited to submit lecture proposals; nominations for potential speakers are also encouraged. Lectures are presented in the Librarys historic Coolidge Auditorium, the site of many premieres, including works by Copland, Stravinsky, Ravel, and Crumb. Lectures are made available as webcasts on the websites of the AMS and Library of Congress. The AMS will provide funding for transportation, lodging and meals. Follow this link for previous lectures.
Please send proposals of approximately 500 words and a current CV to Bob Judd in the AMS office: rjudd@ams-net.org . A three-member committee drawn from the Committee on Communications will evaluate the applications.
