The Library of Congress is located near Capitol Hill in downtown Washington D.C.: 101 Independence Ave, SE, Washington, DC 20540.
The Thomas Jefferson Building of the Library of Congress is one of the most famous and prominent buildings on Capitol Hill: the large building with prominent dome on 1st Street. You may enter this building on the ground level under the staircase at the front of the building, located directly across from the U.S. Capitol.
The nearest Metro stop is Capitol South, served by the Orange and Blue lines, near the corner of 1st and C Streets SE. Metrobus stops are located near the Library grounds, and schedules can be obtained at the Capitol South subway station.
